Where large vacuum lifters do not fit
An 8-inch suction foot needs a panel width of around 25 cm. For plinth panels, window sills, narrow wall strips and niches, this is often too much. Mini and narrow devices help here.
Compact devices also have an advantage on stairs: they are easier to reposition and do not bump into steps or railings when turning.
Selection criteria
Sets with two devices
With delicate or long panels, two small suction lifters are often better than one large one. They distribute the load across two points and allow controlled turning.
With sets, make sure that both devices are identical and can be controlled separately. That way you stay in control.
Limitations
Mini suction lifters hold less load than large ones. If you want to lift a heavy slab, you should still pay attention to the rated load and not draw conclusions from the device size.
For very narrow strips under 80 mm, there are hardly any suction lifters. In such cases, clamps, wedges or a second person are the better choice.
