The vacuum display: why it is not optional

A visible pressure control is the difference between a safe lift and a broken slab.

What the display does

A gauge or display shows the vacuum in millibar or as a bar. You see at once whether it holds or slowly fades.

Without a display you notice a fading vacuum only when the slab moves. By then it is too late.

Automatic re-pumping

Many electric lifters pump again automatically as soon as pressure drops. Combined with the display this makes a very reliable hold.

Manual units need hand pumping. Check the value before and during every lift.

What to look for

Prefer models with a digital display and an easy to read value. A small gauge beats nothing but is harder to watch under a heavy slab.
