Battery or manual: which lifter fits you

Electric and manual lifters compared by use, weight and price.

Electric: for frequent use

The pump holds the vacuum on its own, often with automatic re-pumping. You place the unit, press the button and focus on the slab.

In return a battery unit is heavier and needs care: charge the battery, keep the pads clean.

Manual: light and low maintenance

Manual lifters are light, easy to store and simple in the cold. Ideal for short moves and occasional use.

The drawback: you must watch the vacuum and pump again when needed.

The decision in one line

If you work on site daily, take a battery unit with a display. If you lift rarely and want low weight, take a manual model.

We compare both kinds in the head-to-head section.
